We know that cancer treatments themselves can have undesirable side effects in many patients. This is due to the fact that many cancer treatments unfortunately kill healthy cells as well as the cancer cells. The side effects that you may experience depend on the kind of chemotherapy drugs you take, how much you take, and how long you take them. The most common side effects of chemotherapy include nausea and vomiting, hair loss, fatigue, increased chance of bruising and bleeding, anemia, and infection. [41] It’s important to keep your doctor informed of all side effects that you experience with your treatment.
